After Mommy drew the face and Daddy cut the top off, the kids dug in to pull the guts out.
Then Daddy carved the face. Elsie got bored and went to go play on elsewhere, but Kya and Seth were very interested in watching.
Then it was time to go outside to light the candle and check out our handiwork.
Up close view. The candle is lit here, but thanks to the flash you can't tell. Kya wanted got to choose the eyes and she wanted circles, while Seth chose a triangle nose.

I'm amazed your kids will touch the guts. Adam was so disgusted by them. I actually chased him around the house with a spoonful once or twice. ;)
