Kya started preschool for the first time at the tender age of three. Two years later on June 15, 2010 she graduated and is now a Kindergartner!
Kya has learned and grown up so much in these two years. Her speech has greatly improved, she became potty trained, learned how to recognize all her letters, numbers and colors. She can write her name, draw various shapes and loves to draw people, along with learning many other things. We are looking forward to seeing her grow even more this next year as she enters a new school with a new teacher (to her and us).
Here she is on her 1st day of school. See how her backpack is almost as big as she is!

Two years later! She has grown into her backpack and lost her baby face, as well as her 1st tooth. (we are still waiting for a very loose 2
nd tooth to fall out)

Here she is walking out with her class.
Kya LOVES to have attention and will even seek it out, but has a hard time accepting this attention when it is in a large group setting; therefore causing her to become physically upset her.

She is doing okay here, but ended up in tears moments later and having to be comforted by her teacher. Poor kid, but at least she wasn't the only one. There were 2 other kids who ended up breaking down in tears. It can be a lot for these young kids to take.

Here she is receiving one of her 3 certificates from Ms. Michelle.

And posing with one of them here too. The certificates she
received are 100% participation in turning in her reading diary, 95% perfect attendance and her graduation from preschool.

This is the box I made from scratch for Ms. Michelle's gift card.
I can only imagine what I could make if I had a
cricut! Okay, back to the real reason for this blog post.
Kya with her teacher Ms. Michelle. Michelle has been teaching her for the past two years, so it is going to be a new experience for both
Kya and us when she gets a new teacher next year. I am just praying for another GREAT and LOVING person. She will also attend a new school, which will be closer to our house.

Miss Norma is Michelle aide and had been instrumental in helping us get
Kya potty trained last year.

Grandma was able to attend the ceremony (Grandpa was working), which
Kya was thrilled with.

Our little family

Afterwards everyone had a pizza lunch on the grass and then we headed home to celebrate as a family with cupcakes!
