Muddy Freezing Water, Hot Bath & Hot Cocoa

We are on Spring break this week, although by are rainy weather you would never know it. On Wednesday morning, we were able to enjoy clear blue skies and 60 degree temps, which meant the kids were all kicked outdoors to burn their cabin fever off. Well, we had forgotten to put the lids back onto our empty sand box, so it of course filled up with rain water. Next thing I know, I see my three kids through the window soaked to the skin, clothes and all! You guessed it, they jumped right into the muddy, dirty water fully dressed and had a blast. Of course, 1o minutes later they came in with purple lips and skin begging me to help them get warm. I filled the tub with hot/warm water and put all three of them in. I took pictures, but those won't get posted on the Internet, but will get put into our family album for our memories.
After they were warmed up on the outside, they got dressed and warmed up their insides with some hot cocoa. Ah, to be a kid again!

On The Right Track!

Last week we were invited to come to Kya's school to watch her receive an award. Here she is accepting her award from the principal. The award was for Improvement in Writing. Way to go Kya!
I also took a picture of Kya with all the other award recipients, but it shows way too much personal information about Kya and every other child. I will just be keeping that picture for our personal album.
