An Arabian Princess, a Football Player and a Cheerleader

Kya really wanted to be Jasmine from the Disney movie Aladdin. When I went looking for the costume, all I could find was this mystical genie costume, but lucky for me, she didn't know the difference. This is also the first time I let her bare here little tummy. Ack! I know, I don't even allow 1-piece bathing suits. Also, the costume is 2 sizes too big for her. So my mom took in the pants at the waist and now she (and Elsie) have a costume that will last for a few years.

Seth wanted to be a football player. I took one of Wayne's old jersey's and used duct tape to make it fit in the length. Then I stuffed sandwich bag's with newspaper and taped them into the shoulder of the shirt. Too keep the sleeves up, I also duct taped them around his upper arm and then safety pinned the jersey to a long sleeve shirt, which helped to keep it from falling off of his shoulders. The pants are just an old pair of sweat pants he already owned and luckily they also already had the stripes on the side. He is wearing a pair of my black socks with his own white ones on top. Eyeliner was used to make the black under his eyes.

Elsie loves all things having to do with cheerleaders, so it was no surprise she wanted to be on for Halloween. She actually received this costume for her birthday and has worn it to a football game where she cheered with the cheerleaders from the sidelines. I can't wait to get her involved in cheer leading next year.

Before heading out to go trick or treating, we had a horrific dinner of mummy dogs, Frankenstein fingers and monster turds. LOL!

Pumpkin Carving

The kids carved their pumpkin on Saturday morning. Kya dug right in and started pulling out all the guts and seeds. The other two took a bit of convincing.

but they finally helped out too.

This picture of Seth tells exactly what he thought of having to touch all that slime. LOL! You would think he would love that stuff, being a boy and all, but no way.

3 proud kids and their creation. Kya drew the triangle eye, Seth drew the diamond/square eye and Elsie attempted to draw the triangle nose with mom's help. Mom drew the mouth and then did the carving.
