Halloween 2009

On Halloween, a bunch of the cousins got together at my brothers house. There were 6 toddlers/preschoolers, 1 baby and 10 adults. First we enjoyed a yummy festive meal, had the kids pose for pictures and then went Trick or Treating around the block.

Here are the kids sitting together enjoying their dinner. I have to say that with 6 kids in one house together, they all got along really well.
We had Mummy Dogs

and Jack O Lantern hamburgers for dinner, along with corn on the cob and chips in the shape of ghosts, bats and pumpkins. Pretty fun food for everyone.

Desert was Ghosts in the Graveyard. Very rich, but oh so good!

Can you believe we got all 7 of them to look at the camera at the same time!
Here we have: Bumble Bee Grace, Fireman Seth, Pooh Bear Noah, Goldilocks Elsie, Hunny Pot Caleb, Little Mermaid Kya and Tigger Karli.

Kya made a beautiful mermaid.

Then it was time to go Trick or Treating. This was the first year that any of my kids have taken part of this tradition and let me tell you it did not take long for them to catch on!

My dad pushed my mom in the wheelchair, while each child took turns riding on her lap.
My cousins son Joshua was also able to come down and hang out with us. You can kind of see him behind my dad.

This house was all decked out in Halloween decor. Kya did not want to go up to the house at first, but because everyone else did she soon followed their lead.

Getting more candy

We went around one the block and about 3/4 of the way, the kids started to slow down and get tired. So we headed back to my brothers house to get pajama's on and then head on home for bed. Once, we had the kids all tucked into bed, my mom stayed with them while Wayne and I went out to a party with some of his old high school friends.
Thank you Kevin and Tiffany for hosting a fun party. The kids and adults alike had lots of fun. Hopefully we can make this an annual tradition!
