Big Bear's Alpine Slide

My parents stayed in a house up in Lake Arrowhead for a week. The kids and I joined them after school on Wednesday for a few hours to hike and play around Lake Gregory. Then on Saturday, we went back up to play for the entire day. We started out the day by having lunch at Lake Arrowhead Village and playing at the playground. Then we headed up to Big Bear to play on their Alpine Slide.
Kya got to ride the chair lift all by herself.  My baby is growing up!
Children who are 7 years old and 48 inches or taller have to ride by themselves.  Kya was nervous at first, but she ended up loving it and went down twice.  That was even after she flipped her bobsled the first time!
This is Elsie's 2nd time on the slide.  She loved going fast!
Elsie rode down the 1st time with Grandma.  You can see the excitement on her face, but oh , you should have heard her squeal and laugh with pure delight.
Elsie and Grandma going up the chair lift.
Seth and Mommy.  Grandpa did not want to ride, so he stayed below and took pictures.
Seth riding down with Mommy.  He loved it, but kept saying over and over "why am I on this thing!?!" lol
Coming down with Grandma was fun, but they didn't go nearly as fast.  He was bummed that he couldn't go down by himself.  Next year bud!
