Babysitting Helpers

Last week I babysat our friends 6 month old baby boy. I don't know how I could have done it without my little helpers! These 3 have been asking for a baby brother for a long time now, so by babysitting Baby D, I think they were able to get a taste of what life with a baby would be like. When he first arrived, they swarmed on him like bees to honey. He was a bit overwhelmed, being an only child and all, but eventually my 3 gave him the space he needed and Baby D became used to all the noise and attention.

Kya had a doctor appointment on Thursday morning, so Baby D came along with us and then we had a picnic on the grass, got some ice cream and had a play date with some MOPS friends at the park. I must say, adding a 4th child is MUCH easier than it was adding our 3rd. Of course, me not having just given birth helped out too!
Seth and Kya were both big helpers at holding Baby D while I did some laundry and tended to Elsie.

Kya enjoyed holding him, but wasn't too fond of Baby D pulling a hand full of her hair. Ouch!
