Wayne has a co-worker who is a die hard fisherman. So much so, that he took on a part time job in the fishing dept. at Bass Pro Shop to get a discount on all his gear. He happened to be working while we were there and gave us some fish food to feed the Koi fish. The kids thought that was pretty neat.
Then we went back over to the Winter Wonderland area and posed for some pictures.
Wrote out our wish list to Santa. Kya didn't want any help with hers and ended up writing 3 letters. Elsie didn't write a letter, but she did color a picture.

Seth enlisted his Daddy's help. He was very specific about what he wanted....Drums!

Then they mailed their letters in this special mail box just for Santa.

We tried to watch the train, but it kept getting caught up in all the fake snow they had put down. Then we went over and watched the cars race for a bit. But the fun part was getting to hold a gun (pretend of course) for the first time and try to be a hunter.
Check out the intense look on Seth's face. Where did he learn this from? No one he knows hunts or has a gun. I guess it is just ingrain in little boys!

Kya wanted to play too, but wasn't as interested. Here Daddy is showing her how to hold the weapon (is it a rifle or shot gun or neither?) properly.

Posing for some more pictures with the displays and getting a little tired. Still had 15 more minutes until we were even allowed to stand in line.

Once in line, the kids had fun "driving" these dessert bikes. These things were pretty popular with every child there and thankfully the employees allowed them to play on them.

Just before it was our turn to see Santa, Seth had to go potty. Wayne rushed him to the restroom while I let a few people go ahead of us. Whew, no accident!
Elsie was very excited about meeting Santa Claus.....until I plopped her on his lap! Even Seth got nervous, but he didn't cry. Once the picture was taken and I picked up Elsie, she was giving Santa Hi 5's and chatting up a storm with him. Kya asked for baby dolls and Seth made sure to ask for his drums. Elsie wants a shopping cart.

Looks like a very nice time, even with the long wait. Bass Pro is a blast! And the free Santa stuff...woo hoo!
Easton wanted (and recieved) a drum set when he was Seth's age-ish. I think it's so cute that Elsie wants a shopping cart. We just got one at Walmart for $10. :)
