Grandma Doris and Bernie (A long time friend)

Grandma, Bernie and Ginny (Doris daughter in law)

Seth couldn't get enough of Greg. (Doris' son) They had lots of fun playing together.

Ginny giving Elsie a kiss goodbye.

Grandma read Kya a story before she went to bed. The kids absolutely loved being with Grandma and are still talking about her.

Daddy reading Seth a bedtime story.

Seth still sleeps in his crib at home, but at Grandma's he got to sleep in a big boy bed! I was a little nervous, because he didn't have any bed rails to keep him from falling out onto the floor, but there was no need to worry, because he did great. Here he is sound asleep in his big boy bed. Now we are trying to decided if we should transfer him to a big bed here at home. I will have to think about that one for a while.

The last time it snowed was on Christmas day, but there was still plenty of snow for the kids to play in and experience. Of course, it had a layer of ice on it, but it was still lots of fun.
Here they are in Grandma's backyard experiencing this cold white stuff for the first time.

If you look at the picture above you will see that everyone but Wayne is bundled up. Very typical of him, but Doris felt it would be best if he wore a coat. So look below for pictures of Wayne in a coat, because it is a very rare sight! Thank you Doris.

Elsie really enjoyed the snow. I was afraid she wouldn't like it all, but she proved me wrong.

Kya decided she didn't want to wear her gloves. That is until she fell a couple of times and realized that the cold snow burned her little hands. Then she let me put them back on her. She is so much like her daddy when it comes to feeling hot and not liking to be confined in too many clothes.
Seth on the other hand was more than happy to be bundled up and even had a huge fit when I finally made him take everything off. He wore all this gear in a 70 degree house for like half an hour! Here he is a little upset that the snow got on his gloves and needed mommy to wipe it off for him.

I decided to dig thru the crunchy top layer to the softer snow and then toss it up in the air on the kids. They thought it was fun, except when it would go down their backs.

The view from the front of Doris house.

The kids couldn't get enough of the herds of cows and horses we saw along the way. These two pictures were taken just around the corner from Doris house. She really does live in some beautiful country.
